FERNSIDE HOMESTEAD

Feather & Lawry worked with the heritage architect to revitalise this state heritage-listed home built in 1876. A number of later additions that did not compliment the original home were demolished to allow the redesign of the living spaces and open them up to the modern lifestyle entertaining possibilities of the pool area, along with maximising the scenic outlook from the escarpment.

  • A new conservatory transitions the original homestead into a contemporary open plan kitchen and living room. The glass bi-fold doors of the conservatory capture the tremendous eastern views in such a way that this large space feels in proportion. This project was completed in 2018.
