Feather & Lawry Design was engaged to provide interior design services for the Emmanuel 300 Bedroom Upgrade project, which aimed at revitalising existing residential facilities and enhancing campus culture. The project focused on reimagining the interiors to improve both functionality and aesthetic appeal while fostering a sense of community within each dormitory and across the broader college environment.

To achieve this, Feather & Lawry Design developed three distinct colour schemes inspired by Emmanuel UQ’s official palette. These schemes were carefully crafted to align with the institution’s branding and create a cohesive, inviting atmosphere. The colours were selected to enhance the visual appeal of the bedrooms and contribute to a more engaging and unified living experience.

The design process involved a thorough assessment of the existing spaces, followed by the strategic application of the colour schemes to walls, furnishings, and accessories.

This approach aimed to rejuvenate the environment, better reflecting Emmanuel UQ’s identity while also strengthening the sense of community. The upgraded bedrooms now feature a refined look that reinforces the brand’s colours, enriching campus culture and fostering a greater sense of belonging among residents.
