feather&lawry is looking for a full-time Architect to join our Toowoomba-based team.
This full-time position involves working on exciting projects from the initial concept sketch to construction. You will collaborate with our experienced team of Architects and Designers in a friendly and collaborative environment.
Architect
Key requirements & experience
Tertiary qualifications in Architecture (essential)
5 years of professional experience (preferred)
Proficient in AutoDesk Revit presentation modelling & documentation (essential)
Proven experience in residential & commercial projects
Demonstrate experience in design development, documentation and detailing
Self-motivated with strong organisational skills, able to work under pressure & meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills & ability to liaise with consultants and clients

Reception & Operations Assistant
Feather & Lawry Design is an established and award-winning architectural & interior design studio and gallery located in the Toowoomba CBD.
We are seeking a proactive, organised and detail-focused Reception & Operations Assistant to support the daily operations of our busy studio.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a polished, professional environment, enjoys client-facing work and brings strong administrative capability to a close-knit team.
What You'll Be Doing
This role provides essential administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth running of our studio. Your days will be structured, purposeful and centred around reception, organisation, communication and administrative coordination.
Key Responsibilities – Administration & Operations
Welcoming clients and managing front-of-house reception duties
Managing shared inboxes, coordinating calendars and booking appointments
Preparing procurement documentation in Xero and coordinating deliveries
Liaising with suppliers for quotes, stock availability, order updates and lead times
Supporting the Practice Manager and Design team with general administrative tasks
Ensuring the studio is tidy, organised and well presented each day including coordinating supplies, preparing meeting spaces and assisting with general office upkeep
Assisting with occasional internal events such as morning teas or staff gatherings
Providing front-of-house assistance for the gallery including visitor enquiries and basic sales processing
Maintaining a tidy, organised gallery space and ensuring information and displays are up to date
Assisting with administrative tasks related to exhibitions and occasional gallery events
About You
You will be a strong fit for this role if you are:
Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
Confident and professional in both client-facing and supplier communication
Comfortable working in a dynamic team environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experienced with Xero (highly desirable)
Experienced in reception, administration or customer-facing roles
An interest in design or interiors is welcome but not required — this is a dedicated administration role.
