The UniSQ Gateway Plaza revitalises the campus by aligning with the original masterplan's framework, creating a contemporary and inviting entry.
A formal colonnade highlights the campus axis, connecting student movement through an adjacent informal quad entry.
Leveraging existing assets, the design employs axis and sight-lines to sculpt an organic response to the ground plane, ensuring equitable access to all spaces.
The student entry, crafted with diverse concrete shards, fosters a welcoming environment, offering spaces for gathering, learning, and relaxation.
Informal gathering areas are strategically integrated, enhancing the overall design with a focus on inclusivity and functionality.
